Default People Pleasing...

I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody.

- Bill Cosby, comedian

The dangers of people pleasing

No matter how hard you try, no matter how many hours you spend pondering and planning, and regardless of making your hardest efforts, you absolutely cannot please everyone. It is impossible. So do yourself a favor and stop now before you drive yourself further towards insanity. There are many drawbacks to being a people-pleaser. A big one is that you often put yourself in a position of subservience. Sometimes you even put yourself last, which helps no one. Remember that helping yourself and doing what you feel is important should be valued. Find worth in your own opinions and viewpoint, and don't let your desire to please others compel you to keep yourself in the background. Falling short of perfection only proves that you are a normal human being.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

You know, it took me 30 something years to really start placing myself and my opinions somewhere besides last. Putting my family first at the peril of my own health really didnt benefit my family ~ so, for all you youngers ladies and younger moms - take care of yourselves! It doesnt have to be extravagant, but pay attention to you - do those smaller things that dont seem so important at the time but really add up in the long run. Thanks, Lisa ~ excellent thought

THis is an issue that i continue to work on daily. I had to learn the hard way through health and stress related issues that it is important that i take care of myself. I just have such a hard time with it because as a mom of 4 with a sick mom and a job as a Registered Nurse...everything and everyone else always come first and i forget about me.....just something for everyone to think about.

The boundary between being considerate and people pleasing beyond your call can sometimes be blurry.
Conflict of priorities can be a tough call to a woman, especially if you've been brought up that family absolutely comes first, and a wife/mother's priorities come last.
This is a learning process I hope y'all will do well in, as it's going to be tied in with whether YOU feel happy about YOURSELF.
