Please someone help me. I keep hearing about good fat. Will you all please tell me some good sources of protein and good fat so that I can try them and hope to get off of this stand still. I know I dont get enough protein I average on a good day 30-40.

"Good fat" is the natural fat that is naturally included in various foods. They are essential to our bodies, so we need them. Of course, going overboard will be harmful, but it is much less harmful than the processed fat that sneaks into our meals with processed food.
Same with good protein. It may be difficult, especially during your first year post op, but try to get in as much protein as you can from regular food rather than supplements.
Also, are you getting in enough exercise? That will play a big part in your weight loss too.

I have been exercising 4-5 times weekly, which consist of 25- 35 min. on the treadmill usually 2.5 to 2.75 miles, and sometimes we swim for a while after the treadmill. I just started last night with sit ups.

consider some weight training as well...that will help tone things up....lighter weights with more reps (heavy weights with few reps builds more mass)....Sounds like you are doing a great job!

I agree with clancy, fish. A lot of people say they dont like fish, and I was one of them, but there are choices out there that I had never known about. I like the fish that is not so "fishy" Mahi Mahi is my fave, actually I am having it for the 3rd nite in a row now!! Halibut, Swordfish and Shark are good too. Avacado is a good fat too. Hope I helped some!

There is a lot of protein in shrimp if you like that. There is also tuna too I eat the ones in the pouch you don't have to drain it you can mix it with small amount of mayo or other kinds of sauce if you like.

Thank you all so much, I have never been a fish eater but I will try. I have tried Shrimp and tuna but the rest you mentioned are new to me, but I will try to find them at the store. Do you all buy fresh fish or are these in the frozen section. Sorry to be so much trouble, I am trying to get back on the right track.
