Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Congrats Becca...that is great news. I can relate with the whole acid thing. It was really bad before surgery to the point of scaring me whenever it happened, but now I don't seem to have a problem with it.

Becca, I hope you are much better now and not having any more trouble.

To get back to the original topic of this thread.
I was wondering how much y'all had lost before you really could see the change yourself--not what everyone says-- in the mirror or your photos.

Well for me.......

I only first was able to start seeing my weight loss when i shopped
for an outfit for christmas and learned I wasnt PLUS sized and then
in the holiday photos. THAT point was 100 lbs gone and was the six
month mark for me.
I still look and my current size pants and say thats not gonna fit me,
and then they do so its weird.....still i dont get that im small.

I can see a change in myself now. I was at the point where I no longer had any sort of pleasing shape. I weighed 75#s when I was in kindergarten. I have always been overweight but I also was always able to move and do lots of things, up until the last 30#'s and then my body and self esteem just hit the bricks. With almost 70#s gone, I have actually been looking at myself in the mirror lately and am pleasently surprised by what I see. As far as imagining myself at a normal weight...have yet to be able to wrap my mind around that just yet. I'm still saying goodbye and getting ready for hello. Everything is realtive as to where one starts out, I guess.

It certainly is a mind thing... this self image.... I cried the other day when I found out nothing fit me.. all to big, my sister who hjas has WLS, 4 years ago, said" get a grip, get rid of your fat clothes , you will never wear them again" so I cleaned out my closets and sent them to a consignment store and went shopping. I no longer need 3x's to cover these babies on top... and now wear an XL and a L/M on the bottom. Thats when it hit me, I have lost weight and can wear smaller sizes. Whne I tried on the clothes I did finaly take a good look at myself in the mirror and , geeeze I have lost weight.
My chicken legs.. as my sisters all say I have, they don't, have gotten smaller....
