Red face Surely I am not the only one

I am still struggling after having had that stupid stomach virus!!!! Nothing appeals to me. I feel empty and want to eat, but nothing seems to settle very well. I did manage to get some protein shake down this morning, but not all of it. I am now trying to eat some cottage cheese. Tried to eat some soup last night, but it did not sit well and I had to get rid of it. Has anyone else gone thru this after a bout of sickness??? How do I get myself back on track when the tummy doesn't really want to cooperate???!!!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I'm so sorry that you aren't feeling well! My pouchy is incrediblly finicky. Well or sick! (I have 5 & 3 year olds that are constant germ hosts and spread the wealth!) If you cn stay well hydrated at this time, that's super important. Then try broths, sugar-free popsicles, etc. Then slowly increase up the texture and flavors of foods. This is what works with me, but it is a slow process.... A little at a time! Think of an infant and how they begin to eat and when they get sick what you do for them. Your pouchy is similiar to a newborns!

feel better!

I am just getting over it and trust me when I says it takes a few days or maybe a week to get back into the swing of things. I had the stomach virus on Sunday, Monday and finally Tuesday I started to feel better. Today is now Friday and I am still not liking food to well. I have been trying to eat a little soup here and there but it's hard. I know I am not getting my protein or water in but I can't do it all right now. I called my doctor and she told me to don't worry about it for right now. Just to eat my soup and get plenty of rest. She said things will bounce back. I hope so. I hope you feel better soon.

Sorry that you are not feeling to good right now and hope you get better soon. I have not been sick from any illnesses since my surgery, but I got sick from not eating the right foods twice so far. When I eat the wrong foods and get sick from them I am sick for over two days before I start to feel better. So when I get sick like that from eating wrong, it sure teaches me a good lesson on what not to eat. Since I got so sick eating almond covered pretzels, I do not even want to think about those anymore, they turn my stomach just looking at a pretzel. Hope you start to feel better soon!!!!

Awww ((((((HUGS))))))
Right now, I suggest you concentrate only on your water intake. Keep your fluids up first, until you pouch settles down, then move on to pureed-soft, and then more regular foods. Just as you did post op. Of course, you can move up the stage faster, with every meal, or everyday, whatever your pouch agrees with.
Your pouch is tenter at the moment, so you'll need to baby it.
Have you tried protein pudding? You might be able to keep that down.
(((((HUGS))))) Hope you feel better soon.
