Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass  |  More Stinking Meds  Well, I have severe Orthostatic Hypotension. My blood pressure drops from 130 while lying down to 90 when I stand up! So now I have to take some medication that will constrict my blood vessels that are left behind after the fat is lost. The Cardiologist said for every 1 pound lost we have 5 MILES , yes, MILES of blood vessels that are left behind and that when we are sitting or lying down, the blood vessels "empty" some, and when we get up they should be constricted and stay that way, but when I get up they stay open and the blood that should be going to my head goes down my legs into these blood vessels instead and I get dizzy and pass out. And even more wonderful news, if the medication dosnt do it, I get be fitted for SUPPORT HOSE!!! Good news is that this shouldnt last indefinitly!

| Super Moderator  | Here's hoping the meds work for you. Also, check out with your dr, but probably, some muscle toning exercise should help you too, as muscles generally help in keeping the pressure on your veins to help the return flow. ((((((HUGS))))))
