Question I am so worried

I am almost 8 weeks post-op and I feel like my weigh loss has slowed down. I only lost 3lbs in a week...How disappointed I was. Am I doing something wrong? I am eating all my protein and dairy that I can fit in and drinking as much as I can. I am also exercising. Any suggestions, please.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

take a deep breath and relax. your doing great. you will hit little stalls along the way as your body is adjusting to the new you.

You know you gotta laugh at the fact that before WLS we would have killed to lose 3 pounds in a week.

you are also could be building muscle. your doing great! don't be disappointed. it will come of its own.

just keep doing the same thing your doing. there will be weeks you lose alot and weeks you lose a little and weeks you lose nothing at all. and all of that is ok because when you dont lose you are losing inches.

remember you didnt gain all this wt over nite so your not going to lose it over nite. as time goes on the wt loss will slow down trust me im at the point where its so fustrating im almost 7 mo out and just losing at the rate of 1-2 lbs a wk and im doing everything im suppose to. its just part of the journey hun

Okay. Let's do some 'rithmetic.
3lbs per week means 3x4 weeks=12lbs.
12lbs x 12 months = 144 lbs.
Or, 3lbs x 52 weeks(1 year) = 156 lbs
299lbs (your present weight according to your profile) minus 156lbs = 143.
So, if you keep losing on an averge 3 lbs per week for one year, you'll be at 143 lbs.

Now, the average ratio of losing is said to be,
half of your EXCESS weight in the first 6 months, half of the remaining half in the second 6 months, and the last quarter during the second year.
You have already lost one third of the weight you expect to lose in the first 2 months. That means you are way ahead of your losing curve.
Soooo....CONGRATULATIONS, you are doing marvelously well, is in order.

When your scale is not moving, is when your inches are, check out your clothes instead of the scale.

(((((((HUGS))))) May your journey go well.

We've all been there, next time you get on the scale, you'll lose 5 lbs the next two weeks. Make sure you're religiously getting your protein requirements and water, those two things are key. Also, how much are you exercising? If more than 4 days a week, slow down at this point anyhow, you'll need something to build on.

This seems to be a common question, but it seems like eveyone else told you what I was gonna say! You're doing great! And I'll take a 3 lb loss any time! We can't lose like crazy forever or there would be nothing left!!!!
Sounds like you're ahead of the game and doing excellent! Congratulations!
