Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass   |  I'm Home...for awhile, I hope What an exciting week it has been. It all started last Sunday when I woke up not feeling well. I just felt like  . I called my doc Monday a.m. and he thought that it was just a virus. If anything changed to let him know. Keep in mind that he was leaving that day to go to Cali for some kind of Bariatric Conference. So I was fine until Tuesday when I started having pain on my right side, so I call the doc oncall. He said it sounded like gall baller, but if I could make it through the night and then come to the ER in the a.m. So I got sitters scheduled for the kiddos and the next morning my DH took me to the hospital. We got there at 9:30 am and they started me on IV fluids, took blood and had me start drinking the CT Scan crap. Funny side not is that the day after surgery that stuff tasted wonderful...amazing what nothing to drink can do to your taste. Long story short everything came back negative. So I was on my way out the door when the doc said they were going to admit me and do an EGD in the am. So I was a little upset it was already 8:30-9:00 pm. I mean they could have done this test earlier in the day!!!!!  So I was stuck there. Got up to my room around 11:00 at night and the stupid nurse tried to hook someone else's IV tubing up to me!!! So thank God the morphine hadn't effected me that badly. So I get up to my room with a migraine, and try to sleep. The next day the do the EGD and they find a hiatal hernia, ulcers, and laseration (sp?) nothing major though. Thought I would be going home. NOT!!!! One more night just for observation to see how I tolerated food, which they didn't give me until the next am. And at that it was only clear liquids...YUCK!!! I am so done with clear liquids! So the doc said that after I ate lunch and held it down I could go. That was at 11, and I didn't get out of there until 7! Now for those of you that don't live in the north east you won't appreciate this, but no one wants to get on the parkway on a FRIDAY night if you are heading south. Which we were. So Sat, I woke up still not feeling well, and Sunday the same thing. Monday the doc's office calls b/c he is back now and asks how I am doing. I told them not much better but felt that I could last to Wed when I had my next check up. So she called my doc who was in surgery and called back and said nope you are coming in for surgery today. So I went in and had a Lap exploratory and they found adhesions and some puss in my pelvic area which I have to address at a later time. So I am still not 100%, but am getting there. Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers that really meant a lot to me. And thanks to Janae for keeping you guys updated, and checking in on me.  Hugs, Jolie
