Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass   |  "I Love You" letters-Just in Case? Hi everyone, My surgery is coming up (March 6th), and I am thinking about writing personal letters to my mom, my sisters, my brother and aunts. Has anyone written "I Love You" letters to your family, just in case??? If you have do you mind posting it here? I am having trouble coming up with the wording without becoming to macabre. Thanks for any help you can offer.

You have to do whats right for you but for me... wouldnt go there. I just knew He would keep me safe. Its called blind faith and men in the Bible are praise for that. I just had such a peace I cant explain it. You will do great!! Congratulations on your NEW LIFE happening soon!!

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I didn't write letters, but every one either called me or I called them. Plus my son is only 3 1/2 and I have a journal that I update every so often and I keep little notes of what he's done or said to go into the updates. It's sort of a book to let him know what he did when. I grew up with a forgetful father, so I have no idea when I did what. But I have it all for my son and I did an entry the night before surgery and it was tops on my 'to do' list before I went.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | ps I agree - I called everyone before I left and told them I loved them. I do that for trips as well with my family. Even if they are the ones travelling I will call and say that. I tell my family members and friends that I love them all the time with or without surgery. I think its the most important thing you can say to a person. Hubby, kids especially!!! I felt my goodbye letters would be necessary if I sat by idly letting death sneak up on me with the weight I used to be by NOT having this surgery.

Just be yourself in them that is the best, you can remenisce (sp?) about things that are special to you about them, point out some of the things about them that make your heart smile, just let them know these things that we usually keep to ourselves, but shouldnt!

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I haven't even told my dad of my intentions to get surgery until the cardiologist's ink dries and I have been cleared for surgery. Hub and kids know it is NOT to be discussed in front of Baba. I am an only child and he, being 75 and living in a retirement community, know a lot of people who have outlived their children, and he has mentioned that a lot lately. I am guessing he is subliminally saying that he does not want to outlive me. |
