| Bottomless pit It's so weird how sometimes I'm not really hungry at all and even occasionally forget to eat then there's days like today I'm too embarrassed to tell you what I've eaten ~ it's just ridiculous. Thankfully, I've tried not to get too crazy on the stuff I've eaten but it's like I need to eat a plate of spaghetti or something to fill up -- like I could do that if I tried, LOL. I think I'm not eating enough of the right kind of protein, like meats and "stick to your ribs" kind of foods. I started out with high fiber oatmeal at 6 then the middle of a 4 cheese egg souffle from Panera at 8 then a chocolate pumpkin muffin, then coffee, then another muffin, then 4-5 ozs pork and an apple for lunch, then another muffin!!!! Then after a while I had 8-10 rice cakes - trying to stay away from the muffins! -- then I had 8 shrimps for dinner but I was still hungry ??? so I had 1/2 c of cottage cheese and some strawberries and then more high fiber oatmeal. Oh crud, I forgot somewhere in here I had sf pudding. Okay - too many carbs, that's probably my first mistake and I probably need to drink more. Oh, well, tomorrow's another day. Is it normal to do this or am I in trouble here? Help~

| Ok, I went on sparkpeople.com, haven't done that in ages, and it's more than normal but not as bad as I'd imagined. Still, not what I want it to be though. I consumed 2146 calories, 291 carbs!!!, 57 fat, 134 protein. If I'd walked for 1 hour I'd have burned enough calories that it wouldn't be that big a deal but I'm sleepy now - probably those damn carbs - will have to make a plan for a better tomorrow. Just as a warning! the 4 cheese egg souffle from panera was 480 calories with 30 grams of fat! Thankfully, I didn't eat 1/2 the pastry but gees I didn't think it'd be that high.

are you sure it was that many cals????
all prepared foods are high. i bet you could trim the fat if you modified that soufle at home.
usually after my pouch opens up it shuts down...completely LOL! i would say dont worry. two days from now you may be struggling to just get in fluids....and pudding of course

Pastries are HIGH in cals and carbs and fat. Beware!!!
Be careful not to let your total cals go over 2000, it's best if you can keep it under 1800.
Try to walk it off today, once you've gotten over the carb stupor

Gee, guys, I thought I was the only one to do this, glad to hear it is normal, BUT not to normally often right? For me it has to do with the feeling I had before when I over ate, the feeling I have in my stomach when I eat whatever I want, a full, kinda weighty feeling, when now my stomach sits light after a meal of stuff I should be eating. I have read here not to beat yourself up, just learn from it and go on to better days of eating right. I knew that but needed to be reminded again. We are the only group that must LEARN to regulate what we are addicted to, we don't have an option not to eat like those addicted to alcohol or drugs. They have the option to not use/drink and can survive, we cannot not eat and survive. I don't know about you but I do fine on a fasting mode, that I can handle, regulating what foods I eat and the amount is challenging. Thanks for sharing, sorry it happened, but you can see from here you aren't the only one who does this from time to time...Cheryl

I have days like this to only to not want to eat for the next few days. I thought I was in a crisis 4 months ago when I went at it for a week like you described. That was until my pouch said ok that is enough and let it come back to look at me. LOL. It does happen from time to time. I set down and made a list during this time and acutally looked at the calorie intake and the worst day I had was 2000. The rest were under 1200. So im gonna DX you as normal hows that? LOL
