Oh yea, I so agree with you .... all thoes things to keep ya warm , after going thru this last half of my life with hot flashes.. I am so looking forward to being cold... Ill remember this when North dakota winter's day is minus 30., and Im freezing.. but anyway its a big tea pot full of Earl Grey tea and a slice of lemon....Peggy

| WLS Mentor | (you know that's a loaded question don't you?) (you asked....) Litte Roo of course. (teehee) He loves to cuddle, he's just a big cuddle bug. Other favourite things that warm me up are... a long hot bath soft flannel nightie a soft warm blankie and a pot of green tea. (So Christy i guess if you're finding it cold there now i shouldn't expect you to come visiting in Canada this winter? Just had to ask. Teehee)

Coffee with hot chocolate, making beef stew or chili. Baking bread. Flannel nighty. Spomebody to cuddle with. In the dead of winter on cold sunny days I love working with my house plants.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Fires in the fireplace (I'm soooo gonna miss it - strange enough I don't have one UP NORTH...but had one in TEXAS!!) Cozy Blankets..... jammies..... Huge Down comforters....dressing really warm with cool hats and scarfs.... having an excuse to go get a hot coffee/hot tea...and drink it all the time. (I love iced tea...but don't care as much for iced coffee...although I do like a frap!) Anyway....winter! I love it....and now tomorrow after church I'm headed up to the upper west side to look for a new winter coat - I'm gonna check out Filene's Basement...and Burlington Coat Factory!! (I had a meltdown w/ J'nae....IMing -Russ and I REALIZED last night that we somehow can not find our BOX of coats!! I can't imagine where it went to, or why it got misplaced from all those boxes!!!) So now...not only do I not have a winter coat...but no coat for 'Bella....or fun scarfs....hats...etc. Thankfully Russ has been really cool...and I am going to go and buy new!! It's not 20* here...but, it's feeling pretty cold. Tomorrow will be in the 50's...upper....but still 50's!! LOL.

| WLS Mentor | Funny how you ask these questions and i post my immediate response but as i think of it later through the day i come up with more answers. It's a tradition for us at New Year's to get together at the cottage with all family and friends, (It's pretty cool because we are on the tip of an island and there is my Mom and Dad's cottage and then beside us is one of my Aunt's and Uncle's and the cottage next to that one is my other Uncle and Aunt's, (both from my mothers side of the family), and one of the things i love best after a day or/and evening of winter sports, (well, not so much playing them for me, i get to be the referee for ice hockey, and then i usually watch as others slide, cross country ski, skate ect. but i do get to go on the hay ride), any way, curling up in front of the fire with all of my family around, talking about this that and the other thing and sipping hot chocolate, (sometimes it even comes with a shot of baileys, tehee). Not only does it warm me up on the inside it gives me the warm fuzzies too.

Deb... I love Filenes... such great stuff and pretty good bargins... I went to out Burlington Coat factory here and tried on several coats but did'nt want to buy just yet{ it was 85 degrees} { how was I to know that 2weeks later it would snow} well I went to Ebay and found the exact same coat and bought it.... but Burlington has everything and do enjoy shopping there. Freebird... your Baileys in your hot chocolate make me want some.. we use it in coffee.. love it! Peggy

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | You all are putting BAILYS in your coffee...what is it???? Why have I not heard of it???? LOL Peggy....I didn't end up going up to Filenes...but, do plan on going there for some warm clothes. I want to wait a little while to buy clothes....b/c it really is ok now. I did goto Burlington Coat factory...and bought two coats....One a Ralph Lauren - Polo casual jacket. It's kinda the "jean jacket" style...but is an ivory cord with faux fur trim at the cuffs collar and down the front. Pretty cute!! The second is a Black wool pea coat (but long....it goes to the middle of my calf.) It is Anne Klien and a size 18!!! I'm tickled about it...but know that during the winter it will be getting bigger. The 18 fit nicely....doesn't pucker looks great...but, I just think I would've liked the 20....sleeves seemed longer....and it was roomy. I am stuck in the mindset of the "fatty"....i have to have everything big...not remotely showing off my figure. Russ talked me into the 18....and knowing it might be a month or so b/4 I'll really need it....I agreed. I'm glad I did now....

Baileys esp Baileys cream...now that sounds yummy...never done that in hot chocolate or coffee...just a shot over ice cream. Femme, just don't give it to 'Bella, it's liquer, and to the post ops whom alcohol doesn't mix, better keep out of its way, too. Come to think of it, I just saw these in L.L. Bean's Christmas catalogue and I want one of 'em. ![]() ![]() ![]() Faux shearing vest, jacket or coat. Don't they look cozy?
