Wow! Look at the outside of that house. So awesome.
We don't have any electrical outlets outside our apartment so to be able to put outside lights and stuff we would need to either run an extension cord from father on down the building, or run one from inside of the house through a window meaning we would have to have a window open all of the time. We are still discussing what to do. A tree, some inside lights around the window, window snow stencils, of course garlands and ornaments around the living room and down the hallway. I make a basket center piece every year with pine cones, shiny ornament balls, some tinsel and a big red bow in a wicker basket. Thinking about stringing cranberries and popcorn to decorate our back porch.
Femme, another easy decoration for the tree is reindeer candy canes. Get a candy cane, (usually the bigger ones are better), glue two goggly eyes and a red pompom for the nose, and then twist a brown pipe cleaner around the top for it's antlers. Also, don't forget the home made snowflakes to string around the house and from the ceiling. I have a whole bunch of christmas decoration that are simple and easy, from my time in Scouts Canada, so if anybody wants any ideas for things that you can make with your children to decorate let me know. I have a great one for an upside down Santa Grinch stuck in a chimmeny. You need a tiny plant pot, (you could probably find one in a dollar store, and i mean tiny, no bigger than a big green pom pom.). Glue a green pom pom into the top of the pot. glue two green pipe cleaners stickng out of the pot and twist to look like legs and feet. Glue white cotton balls or cotton batting around the outside. You can even paint the pot to look like a chimmeny if you want.
