I was on Paxil once. Don't even think about getting off it on your own! That is some nasty stuff to quit!! I did get a share of that class action suit against them, though. I think it was a check for $9.35 or something huge like that. ;^)
I had to switch from Wellbutrin CR when I had the surgery to generic Wellbutrin with a different dosing schedule. I cut the pills in half and take them a couple of times a day (if I remember). I don't know if I still need to cut them, but I'm not really all that keen on experimenting, know what I mean? Doesn't sound like a fun time trying to cough up a pill or wait for it to dissolve. I also take a couple of Trazadone at night to help me go away and to knock off a few of the rough edges the Wellbutrin leaves.
I was on these meds for a year or more prior to surgery, and am still on them, and have lost a third of me, so I don't think they're a hindrance to me. As always, YMMV (your mileage may vary)!
