Red face Oh, how things change!

I imagine most people here spent years resolving to 'lose weight'! Now that you're steadily on that track, if you do make New Year's resolutions, what do you resolve to do?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

More important things than promising to try (knowing we'll fail - AGAIN!!) to regain control of our weight!! Take me, for example - my main resolution is to keep my wife happy next year! (I think hers is to let me!! )

There is sooo much more to life than fad diets and hokey weight loss programs!!

I think I am going to say spend more time with my family when they go do their out door activities, and get involved in the boardgames, and quit being so shy and reclusive.

I don't do resolutions. I do however set goals for myself throughout the year. My current goal is to continue being a positive person.

mine is to start being more open to changes. Yep, I'm a stick in the mud sometimes, and tend to let some good things pass me by for fear of "what if it doens't work". I"m not ready to become a risk taker per say, but since wls, I'm willing to step out and try things a bit more.

Well, if WLS didn't move you out of your comfort zone, you don't have one!!!

you're right prefesser; I've always thought of it as being my safety zone, but thinking about it now, it was a comfort zone, and an excuse to hide from challenges and changes. WLS definitely takes that away! I'm introduced now as "This is Vernessa, she had gastric bypass sugery", like it's part of my title or a new identity. Gastric girl has already been taken, but-Hmmm.. wonder how I'd look in a cape and knee high boots..LOL- ridiculous I'm sure!

I'm a little late, but my resolution this year was to travel and use all my vacation time! Surgery was a 3 week break out of sick leave, so it thoughtfully did not cut into my travel plans.

May: My favorite place in the word is New York City and my Mom has never been, so for our birthdays (we are 2 days and 25 years apart) we are going! Can't wait!

July: Family is renting a cabin in Twain Hart, CA for the week of Independance Day. Sonora County, about halfway between Yosimite and Tahoe. A Whole week in the mountains, hiking and lounging around reading.

August: A friend and I are taking a cruise to Alaska! Very excited. We are booking with a single's tour group, no so much thinking that we are going to find boyfriends in a cruise, but just knowing that we will be participating in activities with, and seated for meals with other singles in our age group.

I have a good friend wil an album that is being released on Atlantic very soon (wish he could announce the date!!!) and I have promised that I will travel to some tour spots, besides attending the LA shows.

So happy and excited!
