Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

very true. i took a few months off. but i clicked on that link up there and got the free 8 weeks from ballys gym and im gonna go. im also dragging along some coworkers. i have to. i cant NOT do it. i've been walking here or there at lunch at work, but it has been so cold lately the gym is the safest bet.

I have exercised every day since the Thursday after surgery. I am only 4 weeks out but the exercise is the one thing that I am promising myself. Everyday. I was walking about an hour a day but since the nasty weather outside I have been doing the biggest loser exercise program. I can already feel how much stronger I am. I tore my right quad muscle and was devastated that I would not be able to exercise. I did it today anyways and just stayed away from all moves that hurt it. It is so easy for me to make an excuse and not exercise and once I let a few days go I am toast.

I guess if I have replace my "addiction" to food with something, it may be walking. I kinda have to make myself take a day off 1x a week. Some days I jog 45 mins then walk 1 hr later on and sneak in a few quick trips around the block. The tough part for me is the weights and upper body workout.

I do water aerobics usually 5 days a week and try to walk the dog here and there. The big pool here has been down but I have made myself go into the shallower pool and do at least 40-45 mins. My son is here and is going to help me with the gym stuff this week so will try to do some of that as well.

what is the saying? it takes 6 weeks to begin a habit, shoot or is it 3 mos? and only a week to break it! LOL..

Exercise, to me, it just one of those things you DO..like breathing/eating/drinking..you just "do it".

That said, with having had that injury and a stenosis in a bad location that likes to twist if I overdo I have to really watch what I do. I got taken off running for a very very long time by orders of the PT and any Ab workouts which those 2 things together are a staple for me. I feel 'normal' if I get to run and if I do all my abs. 5-6 times a week. "normal" has been quite a time out of my life now for the past 1.5 yrs.

so this past several months doing the sloooowww move back into exercise and then having periods where all is well, then one workout sets everything off and I have to rest for a week to 10 days pisses me off.

Exercise, strength training had definitely become part of my life. Family, all of them see it as an 'addiction', that from a family full of people who don't exercise and don't understand the 'idea of exercise' but are definitely 'diet-aholics' to the max!!! lol

I have been really good. I too started walking about a week or so after sugery and then I just kept at it. Started out slow and then increased. While the weather was nice I had gotten up to walking 3 or 4 miles a day. Now with the cold and snow I have moved inside to the gym and workout with cardio every day and have just recently added weights to my routine. I can honestly say that since sugery back 9 months ago I have only missed about 6 days of not doing some form of exercise each day. Like someone else said I just make it part of my life now. I have to. My family thinks I am nuts some days if I start freaking out about not exercising. But I find ways to get it in. Weather its on my lunch hour or a real fast walk around the block or whatever.
In a way I think I am afraid that if I skip a day and then another I am gonna fall off the wagon and go back to my old ways. Even though I dont really think I will. I have changed my lifestyle and I am committed but deep down I think I am afraid so that is why I make myself do the exercise every single day. Does that make any sense.
