Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Hello everyone, Well I have finally found the courage and made it to the gym! The first wk 3 days the second wk 4 and the 3rd wk 1day. thought i was doing well until I got blisters on my feet from being on the treadmill to long and problems with my ankle.. But all is good because the gym also has a pool so I have started swimming to alleviate the stress on my poor out of shape body and all seems to be going very well. I feel that I am getting more of a workout with the swimming than I did with the treadmill and weights. The lbs are melting away again and I have finally hit onederland. I think that I will continue with the water exercise and swimming until I feel that my muscles are more in shape and then I will try to utilize the gym as well.

| Super Moderator | Hi, it sure is good to hear you are getting your exercise in. Yes, water exercise is very good while you still carry a fairly large amount of weight, as the water helps "disperse" your weight so it won't go all down to just your knees, ankle and feet. Very good for your back and knees, and the water resistance is good, too, to build up your muscle. While good exercise is improtant, you need to keep it at a level that does not cause joint injuries and pulled muscles (sore muscules that go away after a day or so does not equal injury, though, so it's good for you), so your choice for now is very good. Great going, keep up the good work, we're all rootin' for you!!
