Has anyone had any luck losing weight with the 'Walk Away The Pounds' or 'The Biggest Loser' exercise dvds?
I'm think about buying these and wanted to know if they really increase weight loss.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Walking/exercising in any form helps.
There are all sorts of options to get you do that exercisin' and if you think you will *dance* to the tapes, then, I think it's good.
Then again, as you lose weight, and start feeling lighter, you may find it more enjoyable to walk outside enjoying the trees, the flowers, the sky and sun, rather than walk inside watching the screen/tapes.
(((((HUGS))))) May your journey go well.

Have them and love them. Have not used them since surgery but in a previous weight loss attempt they helped me loose 50lbs.

Red face I've never......

....used that brand. ("Walk away the Pounds")

But... I've used FIRM...and have loved it when I'd keep consistant with it! I've been REALLY bad in the last few months - and exercising....(except for the fact that we don't have a car - and are forced to walk everywhere....so I do more than most.) Yet, I think I need to do MORE productive / intentional / consistant workouts!!!

Can't wait to hear what you think with "Walk away the #'s"....and how that goes for you!!
(may have to try them....do you know, is it something you need a treadmill for?? Just curious.....)

Hi Femme Mode.........

No, you don't have to use a treadmill. You just walk in place in front of the tv.

What is the "FIRM"?

Workout videos are fine. The danger in them is if you start doing "jerky" or "unnoticeable" movements. One may slightly strain the lower back or any other part of the body. All exercise movements are to be controlled movements. Form is so very very important. Whether if you are walking, dancing, running, lifting wts or swimming. Form is very important and should not be taken for granted. That's one reason why gyms have mirrors to prevent "jerky" movements. So if one is going to do an exercise tape have another "certified" person watching incorrect movement, evaluate the tape before performing the exercise or just don't do it to prevent risk of strains, sprains or pulls.

Red face Hmmmm.....

That's a good point.
I hope I'm doing my exercise ok....I'm getting ready to go to Texas for 5 weeks....and we are staying in a huge house with a wonderful POOL.
I'm hoping to exercise in the pool several times a week....and hoping that my best friend will come down and workout with me in the pool!
I really need to get more serious about my exercise....I'm still enjoying my tap classes....I'm thinking of starting ballet in the fall.

(BTW Doc....Russ and I are taking our Tennis stuff to TX...in hopes that we will play a little. Russ is going to start me on the Tennis pointers...and hopefully soon I'll take some Tennis lessons like I've been talkin about for over a year!!! - are you watching any French Open?? - )
