Default Gettin Your Walk On

Leslie and I have been doing a 4 mile (one hour) brisk walk around the golf course in our neighborhood 2-3 times a week, for quite a while.

Good for the Gut and great time to catch up on "us".

Whatever you do, get off your butt and do SOMETHING.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I'll completely agree...although it helps if you find something you really love to do.

I've been faithfully walking, jogging, and hiking, but sort of dreading it. It's just not quite a thing I LOVE to do.

A few weeks ago, I jumped on a bike for the first time in twenty years. THAT was love.

I'm averaging 50-60 miles a weekend in the first month I've been back on this. I only regret I found out so late in the season...I'll be out there in the winter, but it's gonna be cold.

I am 10 days post op and today my husband took me out for some retail therapy:P.We went to Marshalls and I pushed around a cart.It only cost my dear husband $70.00.I love Marshall's you can always find a great buy.I would have loved to walk around the block but here in upstate NY it is cold, rainy and blustery So no outdoor walking. It did feel great to just get out of the house.Yesterday we went to the supermarket to pick up a few thing and I made sure to go down all the Isles.Tommorow we will tackle a nice mall walk with no cart.I hope to make in around once.I get a little tired and achey after my walks. But I am sure as I heal more it will get easier

Now that we have this beautiful weather here in Houston, I'll my walking around my neighborhood with our dog (or at the park) instead of my treadmill!

I'm looking forward to walking 3-4 miles per day at least 3-5 times per week.

Hugs,

Letty

I love taking walks with my hubby, my fave walks of course being around NYC, or in our old neighborhood. The best walks I have taken were one summer when we put our kids to bed, had a neighbor watch them and we walked for at least an hour to an hour and a half. The best part was the fresh aire, conversation, and the flowers always smelled their strongest at night. One of my fave smells is lilac bushes. It is purely sentimental since we used to have beautiful lilac bushes outside my bedroom window growing up. No lilac bushes here in New Jersey, at least in my neighborhood, but the base housing has a really pretty wooded area to go and walk around and the fireflys are really romantic. (if you don't catch one and discover that in the light they are really ugly!!!) Maybe when it gets warmer I can con a neighbor to watch the kids once a week so we can return to that ritual.
