Default Believe in the impossible!

I'd like to share my exercise journey with you all so you know that what seems impossible never is! At my heaviest I was 330 pounds, when I got to about 220 pounds I plateued for about 6 months, I finally decided some exercise was needed, I had been walking but needed to step it up a bit. In New Zealand there are a few different women only small triathlons run a few times a year - they consist of a swim, bike and walk/run. Really achievable distances and really great support with all types of women taking part and supporting each other along the way. WELL - to my incredible suprise, as I've always HATED running, I found I was enjoying the running training more than anything!!?? So after the triathlons had finished I kept up the running and have since competed in two half marathons which are 21km, or 13 miles! I ran them all start to finish without stopping and finished about middle of the field. So please BELIEVE ME IF I CAN COME TO ENJOY IT ANYONE CAN. I think it's a matter of finding something you really enjoy but try to give a few different things a go, I hated running even as a kid - but have really come to love it. The feeling of crossing the finish line is unexplainable!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Heidi, that is so awesome. I always hated running once I ummm received my boobs. I am hoping that as I drop some of this weight and my knees get better that I can start trying to run. A personal goal of mine is that I would like to be able to pass the fitness PT test for a woman in the Air Force in a year, not cuz I want to join, but to be able to say I can. Eventually it would be fun to be able to do what the guys in the Air Force are supposed to be able to do. I have always really liked working out growing up, but as John Lennon said, "Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans." Kids happened, depression happened, and then physical problems stood in the way of that enjoyment. I just got back into the groove of it when I had the surgery so I am anxious to start back up soon.
