Smile finally...running

I know a lot of ya'll know about my injury and what a struggle it's been with trying to get back on with my workouts. But especially my loss of the running was just killing me inside, it's been the best stress reducer and 'coper' for me. I'd been grieving for quite a while about it.

Each time I'd run on the treadmill I'd pay for it with being so sore, I'd be limping, plus the other unmentionable stuff associated with my injury, AND the re-twisting of my intestine due to the swelling and soreness.

This past 2 mos I've been tough on doing my PT no matter what and devised a jogging/treadmill workout and balancing that with of course my abs workout and some weights. It's NOT been easy

But this week was finally the ONE where I have run 3 times and although am sore, I have been able to run again 3 times without any trouble in between those days!!!

Plus I'm dropping size in waist/upper hips..just not weight dropped yet. I'm having the most trouble with bras!! I'd been a soft cup a/b depending on the bra and then was a bit fuller B..but with the testosterone I'm now experiencing what would be called gynomastia in a man..my boobs are getting fuller and bigger

I don't want my big ones back thank you!!! I saw an Ex BF and he's convinced I secretly got them 'done' (he's very anti-PS) LOL My mom said she thought I'd just gotten a different type bra or something ROFL

But this has been my first week I've been SO happy with my slooooowwww progress with re-gaining my strength back. I've had to LEARN the hard way to not push so darn hard, not to take my strength for granted and that I CAN get injured, or in my case, re-injured.

Slow is good I'm learning, slow steady is the way.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Good for you, Bree! I've been thinking about running. I want to just because I can now...go figure! Winter is coming, though so I don't want to start and then have to quit. Maybe I will ask for a treadmill for Christmas. I plan to start running once the weather here allows. Probably May-ish. I need to move somewhere warmer!

I'm sorry to hear about your enjury, I didn't know about it! I know you must be pissed about it! I hate to imagine that sokmething cuold happen like that to pull me back from the GYM I would go craaaaaaaaaazyyy!

I'm very glad to hear that you made it gradually to finally being able to run! I'm very proud of you
please take good care of yourself. Be fit and healthy you have long que that follows your lead.

BTW, I was searching the forum for one of your posts about a machine that you recommended or maybe bought it's a weight lifting total body workout! I made a room in my house as a home GYM that has a pro treadmill, bike, and orbit-trick. and I was thinking of buying a weight lifting machine sometime in the future. I couldn't find that post.
