I joined the Y...it was $60/mo for the entire family....the facility is REALLY nice! 1/2 the time I go over there, the place is empty, and they are open until 10 most nights!

Yes I work at our local YMCA. Years ago when I was on some type of program, god knows which one, Weight Watchers, LA Weight loss or whatever I was working out at the Y and it was costing me a fourtune. So then I got a part time job there so I could get my membership free. Well once I started working there out the window that theory went. I stopped working out. When I was done working at teh front desk area I just wanted to go home. Never went back to the fitness area. Well that was 4 years ago and now I have moved up the ladder and work full time in the back office doing paperwork and credit cards and billings and insurance reimbursements and etc.......Sooooooooo starting tonight after work I am gonna take full advantage of my membership since I cant walk outside. And yes our YMCA is expensive. I am always in awe at how so many people pay the price. Our family rate is $86.50 per month and a $100.00 joining fee. I think personally that is very pricey. An adult is $57.50 per month with a $75.00 joining fee. Kath I think your rate is a good one. |

Kim, I have an idea as far as having a workout partner. At least we can all be accountable to each other on here, if y'all want to. At least we'll know we will have to accountable to someone if we work out or not. I was doing really good, and then we had Fall Festival at the church last Wed. so I didn't go. Then Thurs. and Fri., I felt like I was coming down with the flu so I didn't go. It turned out that I was beginning my first TOM since my surgery. It has been pretty rough. I didn't go all weekend from filling like crap. I did get a lot done around the house though. I even shampooed my carpet. I am determined to make myself go to the gym this evening even though this TOM thing is still making me feel awful. I never had problems before surgery, but this has been awful this time.

Christy I too was like you. TOM was pretty much the same thing month after month and no issues and alway son time. Then boom right after surgery it comes sooner now, like 22/25 days and its very very heavy and clotty (sorry to be so gross) but my gyno warned me about this. I said oh no I am so regular and etc..Well he was right. I dread it now. not that I didnt dreak it before but even worse now. So I feel your pain in this situation.

Thanks Sherrie! I can not wait to hear what he has to say in regards to the tests. That is about all I have been thinking about.

Christy, it really is a struggle when other things tend to get in the way, but I really do need to make myself do it. That is a really good idea aout the boards. I find that it is so much easier for me when I have someone to compete with. I tend to be better at what I am doing. I guess that it is that fear of failure...LOL.
