Hi all. Well, I'm day 5 into my liquid diet and those of you who said that after the 4th day it gets easier were so right. Yesterday and today went much much better than t he first three days. I'm proud that I'm home alone and not even thinking about cheating. LOL But here's my question. I live in MN and its dropping temperature wise rapidly and walking is going to be difficult soon, just because it gets real icy and hard to walk. I'm starting a 'sweating to the oldies' routine, but I'd like to add swimming wo my routine as I work at a motel which has a pool and I can use it free whenever I want. Does anyone have a swimming program idea they use, just laps, how many or is there a good book or video that gives a program? There's a water aerobic class tht meets in town like that, but they're to capacity and and I know of no other. Any ideas? That and Richard simmons are going to have to be the majority of my winter workout schedules. I'm having surgery on Nov. 20, so I know for a little while it'll be a bit hard but I'd like to get some ideas before hand. Thanks much. |

Honey I dont know. But you ask your surgeon how long it needs to be before you get into that pool. They will restrict you for a few weeks. However when he lets you loose have a blast. I wish I had a pool around I could go to because I would be there daily. I love the water. |

Your surgeon will probably tell you not to swim in a pool that isn't your own for 4-5 weeks. I do water aerobics and I think ifyou go online there is a cd. I did it in a class for about 6 months and I have the routine memorized so do it in the evening as the class was so full I had to be in shallow water and at my size it was difficult. Judy

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | My sister in law swears by this walk off weight video she does in her living room, I've seen it at Wal mart. She thinks it's the greatest thing ever. Water aerobics is great as it is low impact on your joints and you dont realize how much of a workout you get til you try to get out of the pool!!!! I've done that before, its a lot of fun. Im a klutz so water is great, you cant fall! |
