Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | This will wash the food out of your pouch and keep you constantly hungry.... When you say chicken salad....can you define that a bit? (mayo? bread?) Give us exact info on what a day consists of...food wise...how much protein do you take in...? How much water? etc |

| Newbie | Mac donald's ckn salad, yogurts, bits of any jamaican dishes, cottage cheese, lots of whole wheat bread, occ snack on m&m's (i know). I drink a lot of water constantly, and of course constantly going to the bathroom. So now or even prior to surg my k+ is low, i take supplements and my BP never went away. Needle to say, i try to incoporate lots of protein, but i really don't count how much protein i am having in each meal. |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I personally avoid Mickey D's....their salads are ASTRONOMICALLY high in fat (you can get nutritional charts on their website McDonald's USA - McDonald's Nutrition Facts) ....and I don't like to waste space on lettuce anymore (no real caloric value). I also fight off carbs, which you will find in the bread. If you are eating a LOT of bread, you are probably taking in too many carbs....(I have pretty much sworn off bread, pasta, rice and potatos) ....and of course...m & m's are a thing of my past. Maybe you could start a food diary for a week....and narrow it down from there? This will help you keep up with your protein intake, and help visualize where you might make some changes. |
