Default Saggy Skin Help

Hi all,

I am almost 4 months post op and finally starting to feel great. I have started a regular work out with cardio (my treadmill) and stregnth training that I learned prior to WLS. I am starting to notice that my skin is sagging as I loose weight. For example on my arms I used to have stay puffs (in honor of the stay puff marshmellow man) but not its like saggy and floppy. The same goes for my thighs.
Any advice as to certian workouts to tighten that up, or cream anyone has found. I really don't want to have plastic surgery because I went through enough pain from the WLS itself. Let me know any tips.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I am sorry to say if I could catch enough wind under my arm skin I could fly!!!!!!!!!!! With that said, lololol, I cant afford plastics or really want to endure the pain. I believe that the skin has been ssooo stretched from the weight that the elasticity is gone and there is not alot of "things" we can do for it. Exercise may firm it a bit but..... Best of luck to you. Kathy

two words. DUCT TAPE. lol! im kidding.

the only advice is patience. im not saying time will fix it all, but a lot of us have noticed after maintaining for a bit, a tightening on its own. once you start maintaining you'll see it. but for you that wont be for a while. right now, look at it as a trophy of sorts; a reminder of where you've been and all the hardwork you've done thus far. congrats on your loss. keep up the good work!

I wish there was an easier answer- but keep up the toning and it will bounce back a little bit. (I am told) However, so far with mine I have NO bounceback and it just keeps getting worse with every pound!

I'm having the same problem!
I have had a couple herbal body wraps- can't say that I see a big difference after them.
I use the Mary Kay cellulite firming lotion and night gel under my chin and that does seem to be making a difference. Of course I would need gallons of it to use all over my body!
I wonder about those support undergarments- if keeping the saggy skin supported will help with the body tightening it up. Rhonda Shear even has a garment for your arms. I bought one Pre-op and now it's too loose to do any good. Don't know if I should invest in another or not.

Good luck with finding the answers. If you find something, please let us know.

P.S. Cary, I absolutely love your hair style and the color. Absolutely gorgeous!

Thanks, Cary. I'm working really hard to get to goal. Sometimes, it seems so far off.
