Default Exercise Boosts Mood After Bariatric Surgery

Here's a link to the abstract of a study done by Yale on the effect of excercise post op.
The more physically active and exercising regularly, the less you are likely to have psychosocial stress.
So, exercise is not just for pushing your weightloss, it is for keeping you mentaly healthy as well.

Okay, let's get that walk in!!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Thanks for the reminder 'why to walk'... Sometimes it is easy to fall into old habits and sit sit sit too long (at the computer---LOL). My mood has been lacking the joy and sunshine it had during months 2-6... So I'm going to (really!) walk more! We lost our babysitter for the time we went to the gym, so now I don't get the treadmill and weights in like I was before. It seems so much harder to schedule the time in for just and only exercise when at home. There is always so much to do that my personal time gets put aside. It would be wonderful if we could put 'life' aside and just concentrate on 'me' for awhile!! Thanks again, Doc. I'm clipping on my pedometer right now and going outside for a walk!

Hey Doc, I totally agree with the fact that exercise has a lot to do with mood. There are a lot of days where it is the only thing that keeps me sane. ShelieaMae, I also agree that it is easier for me to be committed to a workout if I have to go to the gym to do it. It seems too easy to put off if I do it here or something always pops up. I am so grateful for my gym here.

Very good info. Exercise is so important if you had the surgery or not. Thanks for the info.
