Are there any exercises I can do at home to at least HELP tone the blob of flubber hanging off of my inner thighs. I HATE it --- but I hated being 276 pounds more.

I'm walking/cardio 2 miles a day -- plus 150 crunches. I know there isn't a whole lot we can do for toning the extra skin but I'll try anything. Right now I can't afford the gym so it's at home work outs for me. Has anyone tried the trusty ol "thigh master"

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I hear ya!

Try leaning back on your butt with your legs working like sissors in front of you, but lifted up off the ground a few inches. You could also do this by sitting on the edge of a chair.

Breechick posted a workout at my request for thighs... The key here is squats and lunges. The Sumo squat is awesome for thighs. You stand with your legs slightly more than shoulder width... if you can take a chair and put it between your legs then sit back as if you are going to sit in the chair but don't sit in it then raise yourself back up using your leg and butt muscles. Another good one is you sit on the floor, right leg bent, left leg straight . Take the straight leg and bring it in toward the bent leg off the floor of course 3 sets of 10. You will feel the burn.

Look on the Threads about exercise post op..I have several workouts designed for specific body areas. This latest one is "esha's Thigh workout"

As she can tell you it appears to be rather simple and it's very deceptive. Even if you do only the very minimum reps for each exercise you WILL be very sore. It's one that you NEED 4 DAYS between doing it again for the leg muscles to totally recover.

Squats and lunges will strengthen not only the hamstrings and buttocks but as you push back up you use all that inner thigh muscle and it will get very very strong.Plus you will develop that sexy hot ridge in the lower back! There are also Plie Squats included as ones to add in that will also add to that strength AND helps on keeping the inner thigh not only strong but flexible.

Squats are addictive once you master them! Like Esha suggested you can use a low chair to kind of be your guide to keep you from going down too far (a common newbie mistake)

Be warned...going to the toilet is not fun the next few days as that same action of squatting is the same one for sitting down on the toilet and you WILL be feeling it!

I have to agree with Breechick. I was soo sore for 5 days.... I was so wishing I was a guy at that point so I didn't have to sit to go to the bathroom lol.

Default Squats, lunges, power squats and squat front kick...

Ok so here is my 10 cents... feel free to give back a nickle... I am no Breechick buff yet ( but who is).... However. for the inner thighs... I would suggest running (if you can) preferable up hill. Squats, and power squats, and squats with a front kick. doing all of those has made my butt "puffy" (as my boyfriend would say). ... and my thighs and calves look fantasic.

But try those... they worked for me....

"it's all a process"

Eb's suggestion is awesome! you can do this on the treadmill too. Start out at a level incline then slowly move up. My treadmill will do a 12% incline which is crazy steep! So if you don't live in a hilly area this is a good replacement for 'hills'.

when we lived on the island in Australia it was a volcanic island so all the roads were very steep. Everyone walked everywhere and the inclines on all the roads except one on the whole island?..wow! All the women who walked everywhere? cannonball calves and strong hams and thinner inner thighs for sure. It was really kind of interesting. Course, walking everywhere in a over 90% humidity helps keep off weight too!
