Default It's finally Friday...May 20, 2011! What are you doing for exercise today?

I plan to jog 4 miles today at my local sports complex...for a change of scenery. Jogging around my neighborhood is getting a little boring.

I am hoping to stick within my 10- to 11.5-minute mile pace today, but my goal is to be down to at least an 8-minute mile pace by this fall. I have plans to do a 5K race, as I did last year just before my surgery in October. It was an awful experience last fall -- I walked the 5K route and it took me 47 minutes. I developed shin splints about a 1/4 mile into the route, all because I was trying to keep up with my mother-in-law (she may be short, but she's quick!). I felt really defeated, but it definitely cemented the fact for me that I needed to do something about my weight. I'm 98 pounds lighter as of today, so I think this is doable!

Change only happens when the pain of holding on is greater than the fear of letting go.

If hunger is not the problem, then eating is not the solution.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.
