Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Welcome to the board, and congratulations on joining the losing side.
Take everything easy yet, stick to your surgeon's instructions, and you'll do fine.

Talking Congrats...

Reaper~
CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Wow ...you are doing good to be on the computer ....& only a few days out!! I think I was completely out of pain/soreness and pain meds around day 10....every person is different...but, I've heard several people with a report close to mine.

Glad you are on the boards...you will really appreciate having others who have 'blazed the trails' before you - to give you insight on what to expect!

Hang in there....this recovery is pretty easy. (I'm assuming you had your GB - laproscopically. Is this right, or did you have it open?)
Here on this board...there are some from each side!!

Good luck & looking forward to knowing you better!!

With open, the pain may take a few more days to a week more than lap ppl, but once you're past the first week, it should get better day by day. However, if it seems to get worse, or no change a week or two out, ask your surgeon. If you are scheduled for an appt a week out, ask him then.

HUGGGGGGGGGGGGSSS to have an open RNY procedure mate.
You're not a lone sweetie. I did mine open last April 18th.
I know it sores like hell, but trust me this will fade away on the 4th week. give yourself sometime maybe untill 5th-6th week and you'll be very impressed about the results of your body transformation. Of course everybody is different, maybe you're body will take less healing time than mine.
I had few complications coz the Doc had to make a small opening in my 15 cm wound (1 cm) to let the discharge to leek out and help the healing process. It was yucki and uughhh but it took a week to get everything closed.

Hang in there you'll be very impressed honey. Please don't hesitate to drop me a PM or a post on the board

Welcome on board
