Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass |  says nothing hello people, So i have a question for all of you...the past 2 weeks i have been recieving a lot of compliments from co workers and people i run into at the grocery store,,etc..."you look fantastic" "you are getting skinny" "what are you doing,you look great" ya know all the usual ones. I wont lie so I do tell them what I had done. well now I feel like everyone is staring at me when I see them and "waiting" to see how much more I lose. Then to top all of it off my boyfriend of 5 yrs whom I live with says NOTHING. Even when I tell him people are starting to notice he just nods his head. We went out the other night..I was all dressed up in a brand new outfit,,he says NOTHING. Now I amNOT the type to "fish" for compliments but cmon gimme a break here...I did ask him last night why he doesnot say that he notices I am losing weight,,,his response... "you look fine, and i always thought you looked fine" ....anyone else ever run into this?? It's kind of upsetting

Tell him that although you know that he loves you no matter what way you are, that you need affirmation and recognition from him. tell him what is in your heart. if you hide it and dont talk to him and let this felter further, it could lead your relationship into bad waters. I have been honest with my hubby the entire process. I've invited open conversation from him. I specifically asked him, are you afraid of losing me? Do you have any worries about us with me losing weight. I tell him what I read on the message board and other relationship circumstances. I tell him what I need and expect from him. I give him examples. This was earlier on. Now I just tell him when I notice something. Like him being able to put his arms all the way around me and then some. he might not say anything but I do notice he smiles and squeezes a little tighter - which makes me nuzzle into his neck a little deeper. | Yes, I went through the same thing. I think that's their way of dealing with their insecurities. They eventually learn that you aren't going anywhere no matter what your weight is if you truly love them. He will come around. And congrats on your weight loss so far. You are doing great!!!

Well yesterday I asked him if he got a certain picture and he said ye I said what'd ya think, he said you look ok...WTF only OK? So I said I only look ok and he just laughed and said I looked hot and that he just doest feel like he needs to tell me that because I have been beautiful to him always...yeah whatever still wanna hear it right? |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Same thing happens to me. Everyone will tell me how great I look and that I have lost a lot of weight but my hubby doesn't say nothing. I ask him from time to time do u notice I am losing weight and his response: "yea a little"... a little  !!! I think 72 lbs is a lot to lose. Even though he has always told me I look nice when I get dressed up even when I was bigger. One day, to see his reaction, I went to his closet & put one his XL shirts and his 36 jeans and I told him you like my clothes their yours...he almost fell back and with am amazed expression on his face  . I guess maybe since he sees me everyday, he doesn't notice. I don't know, I mean, do we notice the weight loss really? If it were not for the sizes drop in clothes I think I wouldn't notice neither and then one day I wake up thinner & it will just hit me by surprise.  |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I haven't had the surgery yet, but I think I would be upset if, after losing 100 lbs, he said something like, "D***you are hot now!" when, for 20 years, he has said he loved me no matter what my weight would be, and calls me hot on many occasions. (he is not a chubby-chaser; I was at a normal-ish weight when we met.) OTOH, a co-worker's husband has become VERY possessive of her since she lost 100 lbs. She can't even talk to a guy unless he is right there. He asks her why she has to wear "those" clothes, which are, by today's standards, still very conservative. Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | My hubby has NEVER said a thing about my weight, whether heavy or not, I had never been overweight until about 5 years ago and with the help of Prednisone (I have severe psoriatic arthritis) and my ex friends, Ben and Jerry, I gained over a hundred pounds. Still he never ssid anything. Now that I have lost a lot of weight, he still does not say anything. I asked him why and he said it is a lose-lose situation. If he says that I look great now, I will think that he didn't think I looked good before. He says that the one thing he learned early in life was to never comment of a woman's weight. He says you just can't win! The smart man that he is just tells me that I am beautiful and sexy no matter what weight I am! What a sweetheart he is!!
