Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass  |  Emotional Rollarcoaster for Boyfriend I am feeling bad because I put a quilt trip on my boyfriend...not on purpose however. Last week when I posted my 8 week post op photo's here, I also e-mailed them to him. He lives in Vermont and I in Wisconsin. We were on the phone when he opened them and really didn't say much. I know I am early out but I thought they were okay pic's. He also is complimentary so I thought it strange. The next night still nothing. So after we hung up I sent an e-mail to him expressing how he had hurt me. I even went as far as saying that the people on this forum were more caring and had a lot of nice things to say. The poor thing just called this morning (he is now working 3rd shift) to say how sorry he was. Apparently he is torn about what to say because I had mentioned that I hated the way people treat you so diffently when you are skinner. Back in early 90's I lost 88 lbs to get to 133 (ha only if I had that to lose I'd be right around the corner now). I felt I was the same person but everyone around me treated me as a human being and not that fat person. So he didn't know what to say remembering that one comment I had made. I have put him through so much and he cannot be here with me during this journey. I told him he can say anything and not to hold back anymore. I know he supports me and loves me...the distance is just hard. My being over weight never bothered him. He just worried about my health. What a guy! Here is a pic of us in Florida 06. Nice fat face...and I truly hope that ugly neck disappears soon. Pretty good tans however. Thanks for listening. Happy Easter.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I did a long distance relationship with my own hubby for a while. I met him online. The distance can be harder at times than others. One thing I have noticed about meeting someone like that is you are always more open about everything to them than you would be face to face. If this is how you met him you know what im talking about. The last thing they want to do is make you feel bad about anything. I used to joke to Mike about my weight and it would make him SOO MAD ! Even now I have lost what I have its very seldom he will remark on it. It took almost 100 lbs to hear a comment come directly from him without me asking a question. The comment was this......... Babe you really need new underwear. There falling off ya. Its because we have talked so much about the weight and the feelings before they dont know quite where to go with comments now. Mine married me fat and loves me no matter what. He loves the fact im losing for my health. That is the only thing he ever said that worried him about my weight was the fact he wanted me around with him for a long time. And trust me I had to pull that one outta him. That comment come when I asked him what he thought about the surgery before I even seen a surgeon. So take what you can get honey. When he sees you in person dont be suprised if he dont keep it to himself for a while either. Even my own family has to swallow the change then they will make a comment later. Its all good. |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Vickie you nailed it right on the head and yes we met on-line. Neither of us were looking either. It just happened. We have been together 3 1/2 years. You are right though he loved me when I was heavy. I'm afraid when we can finnally be together again he will not know who I am. But after talking today I believe he will not be so afraid to say what he is thinking about this issue. We have never kept anything from each other. Both our ex's left us for the other person. He raised his two daughters, ages 1 & 3 then, all alone. They are now 22 & 24. Mine are 22 & 25. Bill and I are 5 days apart also. We have so much in commen it is so strange sometimes. I just felt bad I let it go for a couple of days w/o saying anything because then everything bothered me. Gotta run...off to Easter lunch at folks...argh!!!
