Default Fitting in!!!!

Just a little discussion here and what your thoughts are on this, so here goes. When ever we would have family gatherings weather weddings, funerals, or just family functions. I always felt that I was the biggest there and felt like a person looking from the outside looking in. People seem like they look past you and never seeing you there. And you know how people give eachother hugs when they go to functions like that, well it feels like some of them have to do it out of duty and when they shake your hand or give you a hug it is like they do not want to get to close to you so it is more or less a pat on your back and barly touch you and some do not care and give you a big hug and those are the people I swear that really care about me and love me for who I am no matter what size. Then the ones that barly touch you, seems like they cannot get away from me fast enough and barely say hi and they are gone. Now that I lost all that weight I felt like I finally fit in and those people give me better hugs and stand and spend time with me, and then there are a few yet that still cannot get over the fact that I was so heavy and still stay away from me and maybe they just do not like me.
What really bothers me that I am the same person that I was before I lost all this weight. This just really makes me upset that people are so prejeduce against heavy people and to top it of when it is relatives. So this is my thought and would like your thoughts on this subject.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

i totally agree ppl do treat u differently no matter how much i want to think that isnt true...i think with me though i was more shy then and really didnt let anyone get too close because i felt the same way about myself as some of these ppl felt about me..and with some i felt like they didnt want to get too close to me and this may have not been the case i think alot of my own insecurities played a part in what i felt

There are similar threads in Family and Loved Ones.
Everyone will go through this at one time or another, I'm afraid.

OH MY online Momma - so sorry people have treated you like this. I can not imagine anyone not liking you - you are SUPER lovely.
I definetely think some people are prejudice towards larger people - I certainly notice that I get way more attention now, however I think that some people are just uncomfortable around obese people. I do not know why but I also think that is out there.

I think people think obesity is some kind of disease. As if they can catch it. Believe me I wish it were true because I'd give it to some skinny @#!$% any day( pardon my french). It just makes me angry that people are so arrogant, ignorant, and judgmental. I personally have not had that experience. I don't know if it is because I won't allow those kind of people in my presence or what. You are sweet no matter what size you are. Stay that way

Sometimes people are just weird ~ it's why so many people prefer dogs I have posted my experience with this before, but the quick version is that people do treat overweight individuals differently, it's like any little thing that doesnt fit into their concept of just right skews the way they see and react to you.

I think that thinner people see heavy people as disgusting and gluttons - like all heavy people do it stuff their faces, lay around and choose to be big - I've seen the dirty looks and the eye rolling. Like Esha said, wish I could zap in on a few, even if only for a few minutes, just so they can see the looks they get!
