My youngest had her annual dance recital this weekend. Great shows...LONG weekend. She had rehearsals all day Thursday and Friday, then a recital on Friday and two on Saturday...my butt hurts from sitting so much!
Okay, so here is the meat of the story. My daughter invited both my mom and her dad's mom. Dad is still in the state but with the help of legal intervention, my kids are not able to see Dad. So when his mom comes she has to split her time. Her visits are nice for my youngest but very conflicting for my oldest due to the nature of why they cannot see him. Actually, there is usually some type of internal turmoil for everyone involved.
But we made it through the weekend and both moms are gone.
My conflict this weekend was minimal compared to what my daughter goes through, but here it is anyway. I purposely told my mom that I did not want to reveal that I had WLS. I do not want any information about this going back to the EX! He simply does not need to know this. However, all my mom kept talking about is "can you keep this down now"...stuff like that. I just wanted to tell her to shutup! I finally got the opportunity to remind her and she was apologetic but I was exhausted trying to redirect her statements!
Just saying....GRRRRRRR...glad it's over!

A lot of times, people tend to say things that they dont even realize they are saying. My mom is exaclty the same way. I like to think that it is from her stroke last year, but it is just her. Some people just never think beforehand.

Oh she asked...she is the only person I have not told. I am very open about it but I just told her I ate a lot less and have been exercising. I have not seen her in a year and a half and we just do not talk much.
