 |  What a Weekend
This has been the most upsetting weekend in forever. Friday night my daughter broke up with her boyfriend of 4 1/2 years. Says he is going no where, been in a 2 year course for 6 years. Then today my son tells my daughter that his girlfriend is moving out. They bought a house together a couple of years ago and have been together 4 years. What is going on? My poor son pulls double shifts just to pay his bills. He is 23 and his girlfriend (ex) turned 21 in spring. She never drank until recently, said there were too many family members with problems. I guess she found out she likes to drink and party and never with him.
I feel sick! I want to do something and know there is nothing I can do or say to any of them. I have felt near tears all day. AHHHHHHHHHh
Thanks for listening, I had to get this off of my chest.

I feel your pain, Kim. It seems no matter how old our kids get, you just want to kiss their boo-boo's and make them better, yet you can't! Be there to support and listen. I have been in your situation, too. My daughter is now 31, not married and no boyfriend and it hurts me so much! She wants to meet someone nice so bad! Anyway, take care of yourslf...

I'm sorry they're going through this. And I'm sorry that you have double duty trying to help them/console them, etc... It is ironic that both relationshipd were long and now all at once they're both over. Tough situation, but hopefully things will eventually work out for the best.
