She started the 2-week liquid pre-op diet today. Last time I spoke with her, she was feeling okay, but she was getting ready to skip lunch. I told her to put down the mouse and step away from teh keyboard and go get something to eat. (It's harder to live on a liquid diet if you let your stomach run on empty!)
In two weeks (2/12), she'll be on the bench with us. The day she has surgery, I have my one-year follow-up with our surgeon, so I'll be able to get a full report on how she did.
It's starting to seem real. I've made our hotel reservations, and all we have to do is let a few more dates fall off the calendar.

Good luck with the liquid diet. To me it was the hardest part lol Peanut is very lucky to have her own private coach that will be there to help her not to mention the gang here,that will be rooting for her. I just know she is gonna do great. Keep us posted.

Dixie, I totally agree with you. For me the liquid diet before and after was the worst part of the experience. Not that it was terrible, but it was so hard to be interested in it. It was boring and completely unsustainable, but of course, we didn't have to sustain it for long.
I have not shared this opinion with my bride. No need to prejudice her with information she'll soon have on her own! It's only Day 1 for her, but she was excited when the plan told her it was time for 1/2 cup of SF Jello!!
