Hi All,
Weight loss surgery is one of the best decisions I ever made in my life!
It hasn't been easy but oh so worth it. My sister and I have the same PCP and she has even more health problems than I had. Well.. she has finished all of her pre op requirements and her info has been submitted to the ins for approval! I'm so glad to have someone else near close to me join me on this journey. I was honest with her about everything I experienced concerning wls, and she wavered back and forth even during her pre op hoops. ( a nurse told her to put her decision off until next year, she shouldn't mess up her Thanksgiving and Christmas.) I realized something...Holidays are not about FOOD, it's about FAMILY, so we'll both be fine. Anyway, she made up her own mind without me pestering her and she should get a surgery date by the end of next week. If all goes well, she'll have surgery before Thanksgiving. I can't tell you how glad I am for her. She's been heavy all her life, carries around a small pharmacy, uses a cpap machine, and has constant leg pain. She's not ony my sister, she's my best friend, and I'm happy to have her take this wild ride with me.

Good for her. And yes you will be a great help to her and you both can do this together. Even more in common. I like how life seems to be contagious. I think you know what I mean about that. Happy Day !

Oh what great news. That not only will help her it will also help you. There is no one around here that has had the surgery or even knows much about it so I have had to go it alone except for my wonderful family here that have helped me more than they even know and my surgery group.
