Shes pregnant , her hormones are raging , and us women do hate anything said to us even indirectly that appears negative..personally I admire her having 3 girls under 6 and another on the way , that it itself is a stressful situation and now you had surgery , I am sure she is insecure in some ways , why wouldnt she be ? You got to stand beside her just as she has you , the thought of being a single mom with 4 kids would be very scary...perhaps you can sneak in some time to exercise together , dont make it sound like she needs to exercise but that you would appreciate her going with you , that it seems easier when the two of you do things together...let her know in ways like this that you need her....

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

She gets on my case about eating healthy. Which I am trying very hard to do. What kills me is she is sitting there eating Cheeto's while she lectures me. Not to mention I think I counted 4 pasta dishes in less then a week. I would really like to make this healthy eating, and exercise a family wide lifestyle change. My kids are on board. My 5 year old told me that she is never going to drink pop again. She also asks me about everything we eat. She wants to know what is healthy and what isn't. And trust me she is the food police in this house. Every time I eat something she is right there "Dad did the DR. say its OK to eat that?" or "Dad did the DR. say its OK for you to do that?" and worst of all "Dad you know broccoli is really healthy, you should at least try a few bites'" I truly hate broccoli, almost more then any other food. So she keeps me inline. I am really hoping that as I teach her more about being healthy that she will start to nag my wife as much as she does me.

Although I do have to teach her some restraint. The other morning she was watching my wife get dressed and said "Mom your shirt is huge." So anyway thats kinda what is going on around here. I know that my wife is all pregnant and emotional but isn't being pregnant a great time to make a healthy lifestyle change?

Hey Rowland,
Boy can I relate.... When i was pre-op following my liquid diet, if I didnt prepare dinner before school the hubby would wait for me to come home then order out. He's over 400lbs and does not show any emotion to him loosing weight. Now that its been almost a week post op, he's gone out to the store and bought cookies to bake (which is hard for me to smell) and all short of junk food. He's been sleeping near me in the living room since I cant lay down on my side yet without hurting and I wake up to find him woofling down a bag of cheetoes. Not only did I go through this surgery for myself, but I did for him so that he would be fimilar with the surgery and know what to expect since he did at one time say he wanted to do this. Unfortunatly looks like he's backing off that thought and now seems to be eating more then ever. Hang in there, remember what made you decide to do this first and formost for yourself, then secondly for you family so that you may be there longer for them!
