Default What are your customs for Good Friday

Good Friday is just around the corner and am curious what your customs are. Our custom for Good Friday is that we do not eat any type of meat except for fish. This year we are going to have tunna for dinner tomarrow and some type of veg., dreamfield noodles and for supper might either be grilled cheese sandwiches or potatoes fryed with sauerkraut, or scambled eggs with toast. Just not sure about the supper yet. Some type of healthy desert.
When I was still at home my mom always made homemade noodles and vareity of dryed fruits, that my mom would cook up. This was always made for dinner when I was young on Good Friday and for supper was usually left overs that had no meat whatsoever. I started the fish thing when I got married, becasue that is what his family did and kinds stuck with me and my family now. My kids all do the same as I do now, they have the fish for a meal and no other meat. My kids will sometimes call me up to get ideas on what to make for their meals.

For Easter we are going to my daughters house for dinner. She will have a good sized gathering on Sunday noon for dinner. I have no idea what she is having for dinner, I know it is either going to be a turkey or ham for the meat on Sunday. I am not dyeing eggs for us becasue I have such a hard time eating boiled eggs and hubby could care less. My daughter will have plenty of boiled eggs for him to eat on Sunday if he wants a boiled egg. Her family boil a few dozzen for her kids to dye. I cannot believe how the time is flying by, it is April already, WOW.
You all have a great Good Friday and have a great Easter.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Hiya Kitty,

Our church has a sister church, and they take it in turns on Good Friday, the one church is open all day, and they always set the church up in various different ways, they are quite creative really, and the idea is to go and spend some time with the Lord, in meditation and prayer but because of their creativeness its normally a lovely time!! Then the other church host the Good Friday evening service, this year its at our church, I WAS supposed to be leading the Worship time, but I have come down with a bad throat and can hardly speak, but thankfully my daughter has an amazing voice and is going to cover for me, but I will definately be there, its the most important day of the christian calender!! IF he hadn't of died for us.......Well it doesn't bear thinking about...

So HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE
God Bless and Love ya all !!

You know Kitty I dont know if we ever had a custom for Good Friday ever in my family. I know when my dad remarried after my mother passed she always eat fish on friday for luck she said. So here nothing special really except go over the list for groceries to make sure we have everything ready to go for dinner for Sunday and new clothes usually for sunday sunrise or Sunday service.
