 |  dh gets on my nerves
i need to vent my dh is a real pain in my %%% i mean i really am starting to really not like this man we have been married for 23 yrs but the more time i am with him the more i really dislike him he and i went grocery shopping today like we do every sunday and we no sooner walked out the store and he was complaing how much we spent and how much we spend in a month he always says money isn't everything but it seems to be to him i was out of work for 8 wks due to hystorectomy and i told him i would not have any money for three wks would he help me out and he said yeah now he is acting as if it's a burden and another that pisses me off is i pay all the bills such as gas elect car ins water cable phone and internet and he pays the rent and for food and he makes more money than i do so i really am sooooooooo mad right now  i could spit fire well thanks for listening to me vent i appriciate it

We don't have joint checking accts either. My husband would like to but I was burned the first time, plus, when he volunteers to pay for something (like half the vinyl in the kitchen if I didn't tile it myself) he never follows through and I have to come up with the difference. Therefore I prefer to keep things separate, but it does allow for some interesting/challenging or should I say lively discussions.

oh heck no my husband works and I have control of the checking account and pay all the bills and he gets a cash allowance. Works well that way for us. Of course, he is in the ARMY so I kind of have to be in control of finances because he is gone so much. A month here and there for training, a year here and there for deployments...I guess that is why it works so well for us. Sorry girl I would be fired up too

I agree I would be pist also! We have one account and I pay all the bills and everything else that comes out. If he wants something we talk about it and if it is justified then we save for it to avoid impluse spending- On the same note I have nothing but respect for him and also talk about what I want to buy (most of the time) He really doesnt care what I spend. Express to him when you have calmed down that it is not acceptable. Have you thought that maybe he is starting to feel insecure already about weight loss and may be putting up a wall now?

UGH I hat5e these people who do seperate accounts, your married and you both should throw the moeny in the pot and pay the bills , whats left over you agree upon not spending x amount of money unless discussing it, we try to say 100 bucks for our linmit , but I am spoiled i will confess and if I am on a shopping spree I spend way over that, but thats ok , one thing he always says to me I want you to look classy even when your losing weight, no matter the cost you are not gonna lose weight and have baggy clothes ( he had seen to many in dr office who wore clothes from the begnning fo weight loss and never bought smaller size )..but back to your problem, I think it is judt selfish to not want to put his money with yours , if nothing else go by a percentage of the net profit to pay bills so you have equal money when all said and done Annie~

Well I have a problem with mine lately and it has nothing to do with money. My husband had surgery on 5-26 and I had mine on 4-28 we are both doing well losing weight he has lost 65 pounds and I have lost 55. He seems to be a little more irratable now then before and says things like always and never when something has just happened once and it pisses me off. I on the other hand have notices I have gotten more of a voice since surgery and do not mind giving my opinion unlike before surgery. I do it with taste though and make sure not to be an A hole about it. I do love him very much and know that with both of us going through this we are both having hormonal changes but it does worry me for the future. We have been married for 15 years and he has alway been my life so I really hope this thing does not cause major problems for us. Thanks for listening. Michelle
