Ok so I’m having some issues with my surgery center insurance representative. First off, I called her the last 2 weeks of November and the first 2 weeks of December checking on the status to see if my insurance company approved or denied, leaving her message after message, she never returned my calls. I finally caught her because she happen to answer the phone when I called on Dec 17th. She told me she had not heard anything from my insurance company.
Therefore, I took it upon myself and called my insurance company Humana. The women told me I was approved and they faxed the information to the insurance division of the weight loss center on DECEMBER 8TH. I said to myself, Self what the h is going on.
So, I called back and gave her the approval #, she’s all “I’ve been so busy and am trying to get caught up”. She then tells me I have to come in and speak with the surgeon and she will call me back in 72hrs to set up a time and date, That was on the 17th I have not heard anything. What should I do I feel like I’m getting the run around? ughhhhhh

I would go there...face to face...or ask to speak with her supervisor...this is your life and your surgery. The squeaky wheel gets oiled...make some noise!!!
My surgeon's office got back to me in 24 hours.

My surgeons office called me 30 minutes after they got the approval. I always had a call back within 24 hours. I am concerned for you, if it is like this now what is it going to be like after your surgery if you need help with something. I would talk to her supervisor in person.

I was raise some hell until I got an answer. This might not be important to her but it is life changing to you. Worry them enough and they will do something... lol
