Long story short…a belt on my car broke and so a friend of mine brought me to work today. She is my best friend but we haven’t seen each other in several months (I know Im a bad friend) We facebook, text, talk….but haven’t seen each other. When she picked me up her reaction was “look at you! You are way skinnier than you were last time I saw you. Brooks, you don’t look good, you need to put some weight on” She isn’t the jealous type at all. She is really pretty, owns her own business...shes got her crap together. She truly cares. Anyhow, Im kinda blown away. I really didn’t go through all of this to look emaciated. Geez.

Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

She just isn't used to the slim you. Also, when you've lost a fair amount quickly, things will look sort of *baggy* until what's under the skin balances out and the skiin tightens up. Just tell her to give it time, and at the same weight, you will give her less concern.

First im gonna tell ya somthing. Best friends keep in contact just like you have been. it dont mean you have to see each other all the time. They are someone you can pick up a conversation with and not feel weird around about it.

Now do you feel good? Healthy? If you do honey your ok. I ( personally) would try to settle into the weight you are. Your body will tell you when your done yes......but there are pressers out there to. Meaning you can press your body lower than it should be. As long as your still seeing a physcian and doing and getting in what you should then your fine. As long as your not overdoing it.

Your the one with the anwsers honey. Its not like your 40 pounds from goal weight and still need to go down. Now ask yourself those questions. Hey im far from telling you to put any back on....... lol im not saying that. Just take time when you have it and ask your self a few questions . You have done a fantastic job and you deserve a pat on the back for your accomplishments.

I love you guys! She is an awesome lady (really) and I respect her opinion. She is also like me. We say it like it is. No check out counter between my brain and mouth. I looked at my BMI chart and to be considered "underweight" I would have to get below 107. Im far from that.

Why don't you post a few current pictures and we'll tell you how we see it. We know what we're looking for. She's not used to what she saw in you.

I am not even at my goal yet but when I had lost 100 pounds fast I know that I looked really peaked and kinda unhealthy. I think it was from the rapid weight loss. I have noticed that after my body had time to adjust it has filled back out in my face and I don't look so gaunt anymore. It will balance itself out ... it just takes some time.

I'm sure it's shocking for someone who knows you so well to see you looking so differently all of a sudden. I think giving her some tiime to adjust is a good idea...if you want to, ask her opinion again after she's seen you at this weight for a while.

It's so cool you have such a great relationship with her ...she's comforable enough to say what she feels and you don't fly off the handle, but you consider her opinion.

Very cool!

Ditto to what the others have said and I agree that CT had a good idea. It really depends upon where you are comfortable and if you like where you're at. I'm still quite a ways from my goal weight but I have work contacts and people who haven't seen me in a couple months that keep telling me I look so thin and am I ready to stop loosing, I simply tell them "thanks, I feel great and I'm working on getting to my goal, my body will know when it gets there. Thanks for noticing and I appreciate the compliment". I think you should be very proud of yourself and I'm sure your body will even things out now that you are at your goal. Good Luck and God Bless!!

p.s. Congratulations on your Century Club Badge, You've earned it!!!!
