 |  The Lunch I Had With My Dad
Well, today was the day I had lunch with my Dad. I first posted about in this post. Things were just as I had hoped comfortable. It was not awkward or tense. It was just a nice talk. He did ask me questions about the surgery. He was surprised when I told him that I would get sick from eating sugar. I was even going to pay for my own meal but he wanted to pay for mine.
He is going to try and fix it so I can get together with him, my step-mom and brother later this week. I told him my husband did not mind staying home and me getting together with them. All my husband wanted was for me to have fun and be happy. My Dad said let's see how it goes with me and then we will see how it will go with Max (my husband). Which is more than fare. I think he said that because he must of realized that all my husband wants is for me to be happy.
My Dad did not have anything negative to say about WLS. When I said I wanted to learn to water ski this summer the only comment he made was it might hurt my back. I told him I can do a lot of things now with out hurting my back that I could not do before.
I am hoping he will invite me over to his lake house this summer and teach me to water ski. He has a fishing boat and a jet ski that would be perfect for learning how to water ski. He also has a knee board that I am wanting to ride on. I have not done knee boarding since I was like 12.
