Hi everyone!
I am back home! I am very weak and fustrated. After a week of just laying there my dr came in this morning to say he still has no idea why my pancrease level is uo, so he wants me to stay another 3 or 4 days on npo, before they do more lab work. I said no, and signed out AMA. ( I had called my surgeon yesterday, and he said they should have tried me on solid foods by now, but my local dr wont do it)
I decided to return home and very slowley eat a lil soft food such as jello, poached egg, and some of the wonderful protien products that were sent to me by some very wonderful people!
I dont know if this issue is resolved yet, but if I start feeling sick again, I will not hesitate, and will go directly back to NYC and place myself under my surgeons care.
Thank you all for being so concerned about me, and for all the support. I know I will get through this.Soon I hope.

Glad you made it home, please please take good care of yourself and don't go very enthusiastic about the food! if I were you I would start with the unclear liquids for a week then go for thick or semi-solid pured food
I'm sorry that your surgery went off the road, sometimes things get complicated. My prayers for you for a speedy recovery. Relax and allow your wounds to heal.

Happy to hear your home. Just being in the hospital can make you feel sicker then you need to . Take it slow. Like you said , dont hesitate to come back to NYC and go to your surgeon. You need to be under the care of someone knowledgable of this surgery. Take care of yourself and my thoughts and prayers are with you for a speedy recovery.
