Thumbs up Jump Start Your Metabolism

Hey Guess What Guys I Was Right About What I Was Saying B4. I Just Watched Biggest Loser On My Tivo. And They Say It You Allow Yourself A "cheat Day" Not Only Will It Jump Start The Metabolism But It Will Help You Stick To The Plan And Not Feel Deprived.

I Try To Eat Even More Frequent Than I Already Do ON THESE CHEAT DAYS ONLY. Almost Grazing With Healthy Foods Just To Get In More Calories But I Do Admit I Will Add A Few Things I Shouldnt Have And Im Glad I Do Because I Get It Out Of My System Once I Have That Taste. And After Watching Biggest Loser They Sure Confirmed Im Doing The Right thing To Help Stalls And Stick To The Program. They Said If You Are Really Craving Like For Ex Mac And Cheese Allow Yourself To Have A Bite Or 2, Etc But This Is Not Somthing To Be Done Everyday!!! AND IT REALLY JUMP STARTS THE METABOLISM.

I Will LET Yall Know What I Lose By Monday So Far Its Almost 3 Since Mon YESTERDAY WAS Only Thur. DIDNT WEIGH MYSELF TODAY.

IM TELLING YOU GUYS IT WORKS FOR ME THE 3X I DID IT AND I WILL BE DOING THIS FOR NOW ON WHEN I HIT STALLS OR EVERY OTHER WK JUST TO MOVE THINGS ALONG

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

It is totally true .....if i am in the mood for soemthing i do not deprive myself of it...moderation is key. Our body need food to loose weight and function. Thats why for so many years of dieting...it didnt work. I would skip meals, not eat deprive myself and NOTHING i was still fat.. lol....Now i eat when i am hungry, taste when i want to taste...and again i thank god i am still at my surgeons goal 2 and half years later....

I have incorporated this as well.....not consciously, but if I want something bad enough, I allow myself to indulge a bit....the key being MODERATION!!! Like you said, not something to be done all the time...but even when I go to eat things I've banned from my life, sometimes, I can only go a bite or 2....we no longer have room to OVER indulge...!

Yes I believe in moderation also. I do not deprive myself either. What I crave for I try to do it by revising recipes. For example I love egg drop soup, but to have the real eggdrop soup you are suppose to use flour with egg, well my mom and I experimented and we came up with a few tablespoons of soy isolate and wheat flour mixed in egg, It was low carb and I had protein in my eggdrop soup. Now we want to expeirment with date bars the healthy way and my mom wants to try Kneifla with my flours and the healthy way. Ok Kneifla is a german dish made out of flour and egg mixed to a dough but we want to try it with my healthy flours. With kniefla I add sausage or weiner pieces and sourkraut mixed in it and fryed, but you have to boil the kneifla first till done and then you strain and put into a pan and fry it with the other ingredients. OHHHHH is that is good and I can taste it already. My mom is excited to expeirment with all this different foods with me. My daughter cannot wait to see how that turns out. She loves this dish too. And then kniefla soup is also very good which is only made with the dough and cut into little pieces and add soup base to the soup. My mom and I have some great ideas we want to expierment with this summer. My mom is really excited about all of this expiermenting. Edie you made me hungry for mac and cheese and might try a Tablespoon. one day soon. When I get stuck to jump start me. Thanks for the great ideas.

Default You are so right!

I agree -- it is important for our metabolism(s) to get reved on a regular basis. And eating more calories one day is a good method. So is excercising a little extra (listen to me I am SO BAD about my excercising even if I know its true! Ha Ha!) But every time I sloth off on my excercising and then I get back on the tredmill, right away ZING off comes a pound!

As for everything in moderation -- very true and you know what? It also makes you feel a lot better about yourself. Not only have I had extra mac and cheese I've had CHOCOLATE! Yes, I have -- I've found a dark chocolate non peril that is only 6 g of sugar for three pcs and three pcs is enough to make me feel as if I'm not deprived of something sweet.

Who would have thought our entire attitude about food would change? I'm still amazed and blessed by what this surgery has done for me!
