Default Attitudes about food

I'm not sure where to start. I'm starting to have different feelings about food and I'm not sure what to do with them. I find that I can eat more and that I'm eating more calories. At my current size, I'm pretty ok with myself, wearing mostly 14's, some 12's, some 16's. I've been really careful with what I eat and now I can have a few more things and it sortof scares me. The other night, I had some chicken that we made into tacos and I ate a whole chicken taco with cheese - even the soft taco. Now, granted it was wonderful, but it scared me that I could eat it. I was content and really it wasnt that bad calorie wise. I am still using the nutrition tracker 1-3 x a week to help me keep track. My carbs are on track and frequently are low for the day (although, I know I eat more than most of you guys). I dont know, I think my previous diet that was so restrictive was comforting to me and now I have to start to make more decisions on my own. I feel like a teenager again - LOL - like I'm not sure what's allowed, how far to push the limits, or whether I should push them at all. Sorry, I know this is wordy, but I'm sort of thinking out loud ~~~ any thoughts anyone????

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

i am right there with you. i can eat more. all i can say is plan your meals and pray for the best. its good that we are not as limitted as before but now the pressure is on to make good choices...the hardest part is knowing yu van eat something you shouldnt and either choosing to have a small amount or not. decisons decisions...

Yes Like Kenya Said Try To Plan Your Meals And As Your Able To Consume More Food In Your Pouch Try To Start Planning Meals/foods With Lower Calories, Lower Fats, Lower Carbs. Because Maybe In The Begining Of Our Journey This Didnt Matter Because We Couldnt Consume Much Food And Some Docs Would Say To Their Patients Just Worry About Your Protein. Well The Time Is Coming Where You Will Have To Start Worrying About It All So As Long As You Make Wise Choices And Smart Planning You Will Still Succeed!!!!!!!!!!

As I Am Able To Consume More Food In My Daily Intake This Is What I Follow And It Still Keeps Me In The Low Range

Dont Worry Hun You Will Do Fine

Thanks guys - Kenya, when you were talking about choices - I seem to crave salt now and have discovered tortilla chips do well with me. Of course, not exactly a nutrient I need LOL!! But I only eat like 6 chips a day and I dont eat them if I want my 3-4 multigrain crackers or a soft taco shell!!! So I am really limiting it. I think that's why I'm kinda second guessing myself. 6 chips - so what, right? I guess I just really want to do this right and never, ever go back to 271!!!! Maybe I just need to ask that questions (271?) when I want something thats not good fuel?

i think you are doing great. at least it's occuring to you that maybe it's wrong lol. but remember you could never eat the amount you use to so even if its not the best choice, it's ok sometimes CHILL! lol.

i got stuck in the salty craving situation for a while. just be careful because you might retain and of course seeing the scale go in the other direction is SUCH a BUMMER!!!

Hello dont you worry, I know what you are talking about. Listen I currently live in Mexico and I am used to mexican food but guess what starting in May I become a new resident of Delafield Wisconsin, 40 miles from Milwaukee, so I really dont know how and what the impact will be on my body the new food I will have now..

I get scared sometimes because I think I eat to much but when I look what I am eating now to the meals I had before it is nothing. you need to be accountable of what you eat but remember it is a new way of life.... ask me I love cheese but I cant eat the ones I like .....

I hope my comments help and make sense remember is one day at a time....

Hugs

I like what you said about feeling like a teen ager...lol

It does come down to choices ...sometimes they are hard to make. Most times when I make a bad one I pay hard for it even to this day! ..throw up or dump..man! It's definitely major aversion therapy at best sometimes!

You are doing good and the best thing is you are writing it out, your feelings about it and can look at that and figure out some stuff, you know what I mean?
