Unhappy Ok gross topic, but need advice

Ok, gross topic, but here it goes....

For the last week, I have had the worst diarrhea and gas. Haven't really eaten anything different. Last night I was up all night with the worst gas cramps I have ever had. the diarrhea is watery. Any thoughts/advice?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Have you taken any antibioitics lately? I went to the ER to get a finger stitched up, and was given CIPRO. I had not changed anything in my diet, and I was about 7 months post op. I had the worst diarrhea for over a week, once I took those CIPRO pills. I asked my normal gp doctor about this the next time I saw him. He said to make sure you tell any new doctor you see that you are a gastric bypass patient. He told me the CIPRO is a broad spectrum antibiotic, that kills off everygthing in the lower gut, good and bad. You have good an bacter in a balanced condition when stool consistency is normaly. But killing off the good bacteria with CIPRO can lead to bad diarrhea. The next time I went to the ER, I told the doctor. He gave Bactrum at that time, and no reactions to that antiotic. So if you took a new antibiotic, that could have been ther eason for your diarrhea and gas.

1) a stomach bug
2) medication
3) intolerance to something new you may have introduced into your diet.
4) not to scare you, but early gut obstruction can first come up with such symptoms, because the obstruction allows only liquids to pass through.

In any case, call your dr and ask.
(((((HUGS)))) Hope you feel better soon.

I had this problem A LOT early out and found anything with artificial sweetners or high in fat would do it. I cut back and it helped, and now I added them back in and seem to do fine. Just a thought..............
