I'm actually looking forward to transforming the way I eat. Right now we eat some pretty healthy things, like the soy ground round in spaghetti, although we still have the extra lean hamburger in some other meals. We don't eat white bread, white pasta or white rice.. it's all whole wheat. And we love fish.. my fave is rainbow trout but we also have salmon and pickeral regularly.
I have never really drank pop much just doesn't quench my thirst, my hubby had an addiction but kicked that habit and hasn't had a pop in over three years. We go through a lot of water and only drink 1% milk with oj or tomato juice now and then.
However with that said.. I wouldn't be in this predicament if I was a total healthy eater LOL Just stating that I think I have it in me and I'm really counting on this surgery as being my tool to help me make the best choices I have a problem with portion control and night snacking as well as poor eatcing choices when I'm away from home. Sometimes I go a whole day without eating breakfast or lunch and that's not good either.
I think I'll be able to live without the pastas, rices and potatoes, bread will be a challenge but I'm sure I can do it. My surgery date hasn't even been chosen yet but I'm starting to shop better and I've been doing a lot of label reading. Just trying to prepare myself so when the time comes it won't seem like a chore hopefully.
I'm always curious as to what people eat so this was a great list and thanks for sharing. Boy I rambled waaaay too much there. Sorry about that, just kind of excited for the change
