Default How to eat chicken

Hello all, I'm about 6 weeks out and still having trouble eating chicken. I was never a big dark meat chicken eater, so I'm trying to figure creative ways on eating white meat. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've tried rotisserie, boiled, canned etc and I still have trouble- It gets stuck, it hurts and 9/10 times I . Any suggestions? Thanks so much

Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Yes it may be too soon. But try this, alternate what ever else you are eating between bites of chicken - it seems to help with 'same food' sticking together. If that doesn't help - you may need to just wait a little longer. I'm almost 6 months out and still sometimes have issues with meat.

Chew it to heck, make it really saucy (like add chicken stock) .....and alternate foods like Denise said. If it still hurts you may want to wait a bit.

Yes, it is early, but you might want to try chicken salad. Mix the chicken so it is real fine and then add mayo to your taste. A lot of people had trouble with this in the beginning; I know you need to chew, chew, chew and make certain it is not too dry...

Might be too soon. I eat my stuff with a little mashed potato's, corn or green beans, and a little gravy. I don't need much anymore, but it's the only way I could get even a few bites down without getting stuck.

My suggestion is to make sure its wet. I dont care what you have to put on it to make it wet. If you notice the labels on sauces that you would normally put on chicken they litteraly have nothing in them. Take it easy. Just a few bites of it. It might be somthing you wont be able to tolerate early honey. I still have trouble with more than a couple bites.

A little fat free Mayo perhaps? Also might try shredding it a bit in a processor as well before eating it. Don't puree it, but shred it up a bit, might help on the chewing even better.

I had a lot of trouble with chicken that early out, and still do from time to time, I too never cared for dark meat, but I have learned to like it, it does go down easier.
