| Dave's Edamame
Just got my first batch from Dave (Ragdoll Dude), and it's delicious! My surgeon said no soy nuts till next month, but okayed the edamame. Anyway, it's crunchy, filling, and tastes great. Dave's price is really good, and he ships super fast. Thanks, Dave!

Thanks for the "attaboy". Edamame is a soy bean harvested before fully mature. It's par boiled to prevent further ripening. You can get it in the frozen food section for a dinner veggie. OR, you can get the dry roasted ones like I found. These are somewhat crunchy, slightly salted and taste nutty. I think they taste like peanuts, others say pistachio nuts, and my support group leader thought they had a taste like sunflower seeds. They have 14 grams of protein per 1/4 cup. When I give out samples at my support groups, many say it tastes better than the locally available brand, which tends to "turn powdery" in your mouth, and then becomes mushy. Glad you like them. I have these and the dried peas as daily snacks in my home too. DAVE

I have never tried it dried but I do like it steamed. Kind of reminds me of butter beans but has a crisper flavor. Hard to describe but I really like them.

I really like it because it gives me the crunch and salty taste I miss from potato chips and popcorn, plus it is chock full of protein. It's nice to be able to carry around a protein source that doesn't require refrigeration and is a finger food.

edamame--e/da/ma/me/
All the vowels are short. E as in egg; da as in daVinchi; ma as in mama; me as in memo.
