No one with experience has jumped on to this thread, but I'll give you my best guess at what I'd do. I'd taste test each of those foods that you say you can add to see if I could tolerate them. Only eat one at a time and wait before the next. Once you know what you like and can tolerate, how packing small portions (like in tupperware midget containers) of each. That way when you need to eat you can open the fridge and pick one. Maybe you should just stick to one food at a time?
Hopefully some of the long timers will jump on and make suggestions too. Let us know how it goes.

bananas may be too rich/too carby. I still cannot tolerate bananas.
I ate the following:
Cottage cheese and refried beans and canned chicken or tuna, canned green beans and carrots and beets and oh, heck, pretty much any non-starchy veggie, chopped in a blender a little.
As far as a menu, have some protein first (2 T cottage cheese or refried beans (fat free, of course), then a veggie (1-2T carrot or green bean), then a fruit (canned no syrup added pear, 1T)

Lets see...
I did try some baby food, but it was really bland.
Then I just started to experiment - what was I really hungry for...
tuna, lettus, mayo, celery - but in the food processor.
Meatballs that I made but with very little sauce (there's sugar in jar sauce).
Egg drop soup.
Crab salad, chopped really fine, just go light on mayo.
Soft boiled eggs - be careful, alot of us had trouble with eggs (the white part).
Pretty much try what you like - just make it really mushy or in the processor.
And go reeeaaallly slow...just a baby spoon full, make sure it goes down, then the next. At the stage you are at you have to take your time, it has to be moist and soft, and it has to be in really small swallows.
You will still need to suplement with protein shakes or whatever you were doing, cause at this stage you still can't get that much of anything down.
I think it's not meant to be that you are eating 3 solid meals and that's all - I think I was having 3 different little meals (whatever I was trying that day) and 2 shakes.
Good luck!

| I tend to get hooked on foods and eat them like crazy for months and cottage cheese was a mainstay at this point. I made a jello salad with sf lime jello, 1 can skim evap milk, ~16 oz small curd cottage cheese. mix all together and let set. later when you have a regular diet you can also throw in pecan pieces and crushed pineapple. This is high in protein and pretty tastey - assuming you like cottage cheese at all. Another fav of mine, especially this time of the year is to follow the recipe on the back of the libby's pumpkin can for pumpkin pie except that I use spenda, not sugar, and skim evap milk rather than regular evap milk. I also skip the pie crust completely. This recipe is yummy and healthy - tons of vitamins, calcium and protein. Also, consider quiche, just skip the crust. Panera makes a wonderful 4 cheese egg souffle (skip the bread). Hope this helps ~ you'll be eating real food for the Holidays ~ yea!!!!
