| Big Loser | So, I went to get my gym shoes out of the car and when I reached under the seat, there was the canister of candy I was supposed to toss yesterday. So of course, I opened it, ate two pieces, popped the third one in my mouth and my head screamed "What the friggin hell are you doing!!??!!" So I spit out the piece of candy, went to the outdoor garbage can, turned the canister upside down and emptied it, threw down the canister and slammed the lid in disgust. Three steps forward, one step back. Hey, new habits don't come over night! As long as I'm moving forward. And I have to appreciate my success as well as recognize my failures. Sure I ate 2 pieces. But I DID spit the last one out instead of chowing down. That's progress. Vicki |

| Administrator | Dumping can really vary from person to person, and not at all for lap band folks. I used to dump if I looked at sugar, but the training wheels start coming off after a while. The hope is that you have established healthier habits by then.

Height: | I have a friend that her doctor begs her not to let anyone know how much sugar she successfully eats post by-pass, on the other hand I have another friend that can not eat much more than oatmeal without getting sick. Talk about your extreme spectrum. I personally would like to actually be someone that has the dumping syndrome, though not to that extreme. Janae |
