| Big Loser | I haven't slept in 4 nts. I have sweats at night, my skin crawls during the day. I cry easily at stupid things, I feel high one minute, low the next. Ladies, you know what that means. Gentlemen, deal with it. So if I get squirelly for the next week, become a martyr or a zealot, please bear with me. I'm seeing the Doc Monday morning so we can work something out to put me on an even keel. Meanwhile he called in some Ambien because I told him although I detest taking drugs, I felt unsafe driving the kids w/ no sleep and my head in outer space. What bugs me the most is the sweats across the nose and forehead, crawling thighs, the insatiable craving for sweets and the weight gain. This really sucks big time! I lost all of that weight, finally have almost finished my plastics (3/9 is my breast scar revision) and this pops up! Sigh, better start saving for a facelift because I hear it really starts going south. Poor me (see what I mean LOL?) Oh well, look at the bright side. Can you imagine how unbearable hot flashes would be at 370? Vicki |

Height: | Whenever I think of hot flashes, my mind can't help but thinking about Robin Williams on Mrs. Doubtfire. That movie moment is classic. When my mom had her "change", I was actually the one that seemed to get her hot flashes.... how unfair, I know. Hang in there. At least you will help keep things interesting. Janae. |

| Big Loser | Thanks for saying that, Craig, especially now. I belong to a local group. I always attend meetings, dinners, have been searching for them for a venue on the west side of town, have lots of friends there, am always taking clothes, samples, etc. I made what I thought was an innocent comment that I usually take Tylenol, but when I had swelling, my surgeon had me take a NSAIDS. The moderator got po'd; said her phone was ringing off the hook with complaints and I was misleading and potentially harming newbies. Needless to say, I am persona non grata, and it hurts. Bad. No more board, no more meetings. Vicki Vicki |

| Big Loser | The moderator and her friends are so vigilant that ANYBODY who uses NSAIDS for ANY reason will burn a hole in their pouch, that when I said I used NSAIDS for swelling injury or surgery, which is rarely they, fervent in their belief, thought I was telling newbies it's OK to take it. Well, I don't take it everyday or for everything. If my doc, who recommended wls and has seen me through the whole thing and consulted my surgeon, says in a particular case the benefits outweigh the risks, I believe him. Personally, I think it is every bit as irresponsible (of course, I didn't tell this to them. Just Imagine!!!) to tell someone no way, no how against doc's advice. Weird thing is, most of the people are freaked by this whole thing but are afraid to speak out, having seen my fate. A board is only as good as the moderator. This is the second board I've seen go south due to the moderator forcing her beliefs on the general population. Hugs Craig! Oh, and Christi! Oh, and Doc Sanae! Vicki |

Height: | I am sorry that you got booted off. It doesn't sound like it was a very fair reason to give you the boot either. I think you make a very valid point though. No matter what I hear on these boards, or from my friends that have had the surgery, I think that your health is a very personalized thing. What may work for one person may not work for another. If everything worked the same for everybody, the whole dieting situation would not be as complicated. I hope that things look up for you soon. Janae |

| Super Moderator | Vicki, too bad about the bootm it's their loss, not yours. You and Pillows are right, your health is something only you can decide in the end. Every person reacts in their own individual way, and even us doctors sometimes get surprises in how our patients react to treatment and medication. You know, when I first started my internship, one of the first things I realized was that not one patient is textbook typical, so I'd better not follow the medical textbooks word for word, but pick up what applies, search for the answers when not. Collecting facts on your health, and looking for the directions that can be taken, is a team effort, on the part of you, supporters, and your dr, but the final decision is up to you, and nobody else. I hope I can moderate in a fair and levelheaded manner, thank you for your hugs, and hugs back to you.
